Chanté McCormick is a Los Angeles-based actress and audiobook narrator who holds a B.S.
in Speech from Northwestern University’s theatre department. She’s a proud union member of
both SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association.
In July 2021, Chanté was selected by Penguin Random House as the Ahab Talent Voice of the
Month. Her recent non-fiction work includes Four Hundred Souls: A Community History of
African America and The 1619 Project, which were both Earphones Award-winning multicast
productions. In 2023, she is slated to narrate Althea: The Life of Tennis Champion Althea
Gibson for Macmillan Audio.
